What is MCBA?

Founded in 2015, the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA) is the largest national trade association dedicated to serving the needs of minority cannabis businesses and our communities. MCBA represents minority and allied cannabis businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs, and supporters who share a vision of an equitable, just, and responsible cannabis industry. Our mission is carried out by a 15-member Board of Directors comprised of diverse industry veterans, medical and legal professionals, advocates, and community leaders.

Rebecca Colett is CEO of CALYXEUM located in Detroit, MI. She is a seasoned Global Consultant and Entrepreneur. With over 15 years of invaluable experience in Organizational Management, having worked with esteemed companies such as Morgan Stanley, GE, IBM, Honeywell, Kimberly Clark, S&P Global, and Johnson & Johnson.For the past 3 years, she has spearheaded a social equity empowered cannabis business incubator, empowering diverse entrepreneurs nationwide.

Jessica

Jessica, the newly elected MCBA Secretary, was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a Veteran, Registered Nurse with 6 years of Emergency Room and surgical care experience, who brings a unique blend of qualifications from the healthcare field. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public & Community Health, a bachelor’s in Nursing, and a Master’s of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy, where she graduated at the top of her class, summa cum laude. Her extensive professional and educational background has positioned her as a dedicated healthcare provider who champions patient advocacy and their complete right to learn, inquire, and use cannabis in their wellness journey if they so choose.
