The “Asamblea Internacional Cannabica” is a conference that gathers a diverse cohort of highly qualified cannabis professionals, regulators, activists and leaders from government, business, healthcare, industry influencers, and civil rights organizations in order to debate current cannabis policy challenges and opportunities, among other relevant topics regarding Latino cannabis industry worldwide.

    Jason Ortiz, MCBA Board President

    Jason got his Bachelors degree in Public and Community Engagement from the University of Connecticut. He has been fighting to end the war on drugs since he first heard the words “School to prison pipeline”. He has worked on a number of progressive campaigns, both issue-based and electoral, with victories electing Strong Progressives to the School Board of Durham North Carolina, and changing drug policy law in CT.

    Jazmin Aguiar

    Jazmin Aguiar brings close to a decade’s worth of experience to the cannabis industry with a specific emphasis on regulation, advocacy, licensing, strategy, and social equity. A bi-lingual business development expert within the national Spanish-speaking markets, Jazmin used her experience as a Los Angeles native to bridge the gap between business owners and government officials within California and across the border.  Awarded one of the first social equity licenses within the City of Los Angeles, Jazmin understands the challenges and obstacles facing the average applicant. Jazmin provides valuable expertise, consulting and support throughout the entire application process by helping empower, shape and streamline processes.

    Founder & BOD Chair of the Colombian Cannabis Entrepreneurs Network – REC, which foster and serves through its programs and services cannabis ventures in Colombia, founding entity of the first cannabis science event in the Americas called CannaCiencia, a state of the art event that promotes science, research, investment and good practices of the analytical laboratory of Medicinal Cannabis in the Americas.


About the abstracts submission and speakers’ useful info:

Abstracts can be submitted for 2 types of lectures:

Structure for digital set up

  • Key lecture: state of the art policy lectures up to 60 minutes including discussion time
  • Core lecture: TED-Talk type lecture up to 30 minutes including discussion time
  • Language: Abstracts can be submitted in English or Spanish

-All abstracts accepted will be published. Title, author, institution and address will be published and included in the “Asamblea Internacional Cannabica” memories.

-All abstracts and lectures will be recorded (video and audio) and published on the “Asamblea Internacional Cannabica” content pages such as the “Asamblea Internacional Cannabica” website, youtube-channel, facebook-page, intstagram and other media channels which may be available in the future. The author(s) also agree that their lecture could possibly be published live on the “Asamblea Internacional Cannabica” website or social media channels during the conference.

A separate agreement regarding travel & accommodation is signed by the organizer and the lecturer for on-site events.
