On May 31, 2012, Connecticut legalized the medical use of cannabis. On June 22, 2021, Connecticut legalized cannabis for adult use.
Possession Limits
In Connecticut, adults 21 + are allowed to possess up to 1.5 ounces of cannabis or 5 ounces when cannabis is stored in a locked container at home or in a vehicle’s locked glove compartment or trunk. Within Connecticut’s medical framework, patients and caregivers may possess up to 5 ounces of cannabis in total between them. Patients may cultivate in their private residence up to three mature cannabis plants and three immature cannabis plants.
