MCBA is proud to highlight essential bilingual resources from our partners at Americans for Safe Access (ASA), designed to support safe and informed cannabis access for all communities.
MCBA supports equitable cannabis consumption events in Maryland and urges lawmakers to amend MD SB215 to prevent restrictions that could hinder small businesses and minority entrepreneurs. Key concerns include the ban on smoking and vaping, which limits consumer education and safe consumption; excessive fees that create financial barriers; an impractical 60-day event approval timeline; and the risks of a public event list disproportionately affecting communities of color. We advocate for a fair regulatory framework that prioritizes equity, economic opportunity, and responsible cannabis education.
